I have a new Dell laptop, and need to know how to set up Outlook, I have Vista and I have a gmail account.?

Can anyone help me with this? I tried responding to a Craig's List posting and it would not allow me to reply, indicates I need to set up outlook.

Reply:click on outlook, then when you are in it, press accounts-add account, then follow menus to complete it. Remember to click on gmail when setting up. Xxx
