I have managed to send to send an email from hotmail but cannot receive one but have received one from outlook express.
How do I set up my hotmail, gmail, and yahoo email account on microsoft outlook express?
Download Mozilla Firefox. It is much better than windows.

It is free trust me you will be glad you did it.
Reply:I agree Mozilla - Thunderbird is the way forward, so useful, I downloaded it ages ago and have all my emails from gmail hotmail and yahoo coming direct onto it,

...and maybe download Firefox too....Just to get the full experience!! You'll never go back to IE again!!! :D :D
Reply:Open Outlook Express..

Click on tools.

Click on Accounts.

Click on properties.

Type in mail.hotmail.com

Type your name

Type your email address.

Click on the servers tab..

POP3

mail.hotmail.com

mail.hotmail.com.

....

Incoming mail server..

account name ie. your email address.

password.

that is about all I can remember. good luck

Hotmail doesn't let me link to their help page, but if you log into your hotmail account, click on 'help' and search for 'outlook' it is the second result.

Yahoo requires a paid upgrade.

Reply:Gmail is the only one you can import into outlook. However you do not receive mail from outlook period. outlook is just a way to read and sort your mail.
Reply:unless your accounts at yahoo and gmail are the paid upgrades, you can't, they're not compatible.
