I like the aspect of MS Outlook that allows me to sort received emails into labeled folders. Can I use this function with a web email service such as gmail, Yahoo mail or Hotmail?

No. YOu have to have a paid account to do that. It sucks, I know.

Gmail offers FREE connectivity with email clients -- you can use both POP and IMAP connections for free.
