Account validation error on blackberry internet email while setting up gmail account?

The error I am receiving is:





An error occurred during e-mail account validation.


Please check your information and try again.


If the error persists please contact your e-mail account provider.

I have verified that the gmail account is working fine and am able to access another gmail account without a problem, but this is happening everytime I try to set up my fiancee's blackberry. I am on Cingular using a 7100g.

Well, I am sure you are smart, but I am just wondering, did you use Authentication, you are supposed to, and did you use theses ports:?


Incoming:995


Outgoing: 465 or 587

Reply:I do not have this issue on my GMail accounts. I use the gmail mobile that will support all your gmail accounts it is really nice.


But I am having this issue on a work account happens every 2 weeks starting to get bothersome. Report Abuse

Reply:first login to the gmail account amd make sue that it is pop enabled......


this could be the only concern as i see it.
